This year (so far) we have spent over 2,500 hours empowering, inspiring and training our youth and young adults to make a difference in their beautiful city of Paterson!
learning new skills like tile flooring
distributing clothing and shoes to neighbors around the City
teaching skateboarding lessons
learning how to be a mentor and community advocate
and so much more!
Expanded community partnerships
Our outreach team has expanded and connected with new community partners such as Camp YDP, St. Augustine Church after school club, Community Affairs (formerly Paterson Community Policing), Holy Tabernacle Apostolic Church, Occupy Barbara Park, Paterson Cares, and Malachi’s Mission just to name a few.
We're also grateful for partners like Hoods to Woods for helping SOLID take 30+ Paterson youth snowboarding at no cost! We absolutely love connecting with our SOLID youth on the lift up the slopes.
A social worker joined our team
We are so excited to welcome Kimmeshia Rogers-Jones, MSW to our team at SOLID. She was born and raised here in Paterson, and with a wealth of knowledge, connections and experience, she will enable SOLID to meet needs on a greater level - connecting our youth and young adults to resources, services and opportunities all through out the City and beyond.

We have a new facility!
Finally, we are so excited that after years of searching for a place of our own, this past May, we signed a 5 year lease for the new SOLID Facility on Governor St. in Paterson, NJ!
This facility has already changed lives for so many young people. We are excited that this is just the beginning of a new season at SOLID Foundation!
